I heard my flight might be cancelled due to a natural disaster/instability/unrest/strike/ Can I be re-booked in advance?
In these situations, the airlines won’t publish their policies until very close to departure (usually less than 5 business days, more likely 1-2 business days in advance).
They might offer full refunds or rebooking options, but we won’t know very far in advance.
If you would like to avoid paying any fees, the best option is to wait and see how things develop. Should the conflict continue, the airline will likely issue waivers — unfortunately, we cannot predict when and for which dates, since this is entirely at the airline’s discretion.
In the meantime, we are here to answer any questions and help you while on your travels, so do reach out to us as necessary. We will continue to monitor the situation and update you with any news.
If you have travel insurance, we recommend reaching out to your provider to see what might be covered in your particular situation. They may be able to help cover out-of-pocket expenses.
